John McConnell and the Victoria Gold Team are recognized for innovative financing of the Eagle Gold Mine development and production in Yukon.
The Victoria Gold Finance Team – Sean Harvey, John McConnell, Marty Rendall – is recognized with the 2023 AME Murray Pezim Award for their perseverance and creativity in financing the construction of the Eagle Gold Mine, the largest gold mine in Yukon history.
John McConnell, Director, President and CEO of Victoria Gold Corp. and the Victoria Gold team are the recipients of the 2021 E.A. Scholz Award for Excellence in Mine Development in British Columbia or the Yukon Territory, in recognition of their achievement over the past decade in developing and successfully bringing the Eagle Gold Mine into production.
The Toronto Stock Exchange’s 2021 TSX30, is a flagship program recognizing the 30 top-performing TSX stocks over a three-year period based on dividend-adjusted share price appreciation. Over the three-year period considered, the price of Victoria shares rose 251%, ranking it thirteenth on the 2021 TSX30 list.
Victoria Gold’s book, “Dublin Gulch: A History of the Eagle Gold Mine” by Yukon author and historian, Michael Gates, and published by Harbour Publishing in June 2020, won a silver medal in the Axiom Business Book Awards. The book was chosen from nearly 500 entries in 2020 from authors and publishers located in North America and overseas.
